A2 Desi Cow Ghee is derived from A2 milk collected from desi Indian cows. Milk from Indian cows is believed to contain more A2 beta-casein protein, which is better for health than regular ghee.
A2 Desi Cow ghee is derived from A2 milk collected from desi cows using the traditional Bilona Method, which is quite extensive. Milk from Indian cows is first boiled, then cooled. Curd is added to this milk, and the mixture is then allowed to rest overnight at room temperature. The next day, the resulting curd is churned to extract the butter. This butter is further refined by boiling till all moisture evaporates. This process is time-consuming. Besides, the cows from which A2 milk originates are not genetically modified and yield lower amounts of milk per day. These factors result in an overall increase in prices of procuring milk and processing the ghee.
A2 Desi Cow ghee has a variety of health benefits and is healthier than regular ghee. It helps build bone strength, improves stamina, helps in skin nourishment, enhances physical and mental well-being, and is considered to be good for eye health.
A1 cow ghee is known to originate from the milk of genetically modified breeds of cows. These cows are bred to deliver up to 20 litres of milk a day. A2 Desi Cow ghee comes from the milk of primitive cows. These cows have an all-natural diet and usually deliver up to 6-7 litres of milk in a day. Generally speaking, milk that does not contain A1 beta-casein protein or the one that has significantly higher levels of A2 beta-casein protein is considered to be A2 milk.
All natural substances have a limited shelf life, after which they lose potency and must be stored properly and consumed in a reasonable timeframe. Seasonal changes might impact the colour, flavour and taste of the product without affecting its quality. Consume within a reasonable period from the date of packaging.
