#1 Honey and saffron mask

Saffron is an amazing Ayurvedic ingredient that can help you nurture your skin and make it free from blemishes and acne. With proper use, your skin will get radiant and glowing. Also, saffron has antioxidants that keep your skin protected from any sun damage.

In addition to that, honey comes with antiseptic and antibacterial properties that help to keep the skin hydrated without turning it oily. All you need to do is to soak four to five long strands of saffron in one to two tablespoons of honey. Now, let that soak for a couple of minutes.

Put the mixture on the face and neck and let it stay there for ten to fifteen minutes. Try this ayurvedic facial treatment thrice a week for best results. You will see a change in your skin tone within two weeks – minus any chemicals or additives involved in it.

#2 Sandalwood Powder

There is a lot more to sandalwood powder than the beautiful fragrance. It is an age-old element that is widely used in ayurvedic facials for radiant and younger looking skin. So, when you use the sandalwood powder, you get to have a great facial with a lingering aroma. Additionally, the mix has antiseptic properties that can eliminate dark spots and reduce pigmentation from pimples and acne.

All you need is to mix two tablespoons of sandalwood powder to a rose water or cold water solution in one bowl. If you have oily skin, make sure to add one tablespoon of fuller’s earth in the same bowl. As such, fuller’s earth can absorb all the excess oil that makes your skin acne prone. Now, put the paste all over your face and neck and let it stay there for twenty-five to thirty minutes. After the facial dries out completely, you can use lukewarm water to wash it off completely.

If you want, you can add other things in this mixture, such as honey or lemon juice and enrich the facial even further.

Lemon juice has antimicrobial properties that can fight off skin microbes like Micrococcus and Pseudomonas. Such microbes tend to multiply in the presence of the sebum and cause pimples and acne. The pH level of lemon juice helps to eliminate microbes and bacteria from the skin.

But you need to ensure beforehand that lemon is suitable for your skin because it might not suit an extremely sensitive skin. Also, you can skip this facial if you have bruises or cuts on your face. Sugar crystals help to cleanse the skin and act as exfoliators. Again, do not use sugar crystals if there are cuts on your skin.

To make the mixture, you need to add three tablespoons of lemon juice to two tablespoons of sugar. Add a drizzle of honey to this mixture and apply the paste on your neck and face. Let it stay there for fifteen minutes. Now, use lukewarm water to rinse off this facial. Want to make the most of ayurvedic for face glow? Use the scrub at least twice a week for the best results.

#4 Honey and papaya face mask

Papaya is loaded with an enzyme called papain that can be a great exfoliator to gently remove your dead skin cells. Also, it is a rich source of antioxidants like beta-carotene and lycopene. As such, it can reduce toxin build up in the body and protect the skin from sudden acne flare-ups. As a result, you get a youthful and radiant looking skin.

All in all, the combination of honey and papaya has skin firming qualities that reduce the blemishes and moisturizes the skin. If you want to use ayurveda for face skin, add a couple of pieces of ripe papaya to the bowl and put about three tablespoons of honey in that. Apply this paste on your face and neck and let it stay there for thirty minutes. Rinse the mask off using cool water.

It is worth mentioning in this regard that eating ripe papaya can be just as useful. So, try adding a few pieces of papaya to your breakfast or snacks at least two to three times a week. You can check our Papaya Tablet for different benefits.

Rose water has natural soothing qualities that not only makes it a great face toner but also makes it irreplaceable for natural facial treatments. Application of rose water helps to lift and remove skin impurities, while refreshing and cleansing the skin. Also, it has a calming effect that will help to rejuvenate your skin and let you relax after a long day. Furthermore, it brightens the skin to make it supple and soft.

You can either create your own rose water by steam distillation method or buy a bottle of it from your nearest store. But remember to store your rose water in your refrigeration for the best results. You can add ayurvedic herbs for face to the rose water to improve its effectiveness.

Otherwise, you can directly soak a small cold ball in the rose water to apply it on the face and neck areas. Keep doing this twice or thrice daily for glowing and youthful skin.
